I can easily see the origin of the nickname. That is a spectacular mountain with some really nice alpenglow in this image.

I did a quick lookup to see where this was - on roads I have not driven and pretty much in your backyard.

It's funny that I've never gotten back there to try climbing it, I've done most of the other peaks around there. We talked about making a ski attempt for years, but I'm afraid that is beyond my comfort zone now. Next summer I should do an overnight trip on the standard route, which is pretty much a scramble with a little glacier work.
