This is spectacular, Jim. I can't even imagine making that climb.

In the right conditions (right about now) this is actually one of the easier climbs on Rainier, although the approach to high camp is long. No glacier travel, and not very steep (This view is looking pretty straight on which makes it look much steeper than it is) just crumbly rock. You can traverse around all the little cliffs, so a competent climber can do it without a rope. One of my friends soloed it back in the 70s, but he'd never set foot alone and unroped on a glacier route.
