My contributions for Today's Winged Wednesday are juvenile peregrine falcon in flights . These photo were taken at Tory Pines State Reserve, San Diego, California.
Dorsal view from the cliff above the nest. The blue is the Pacific Ocean
The ability to start, stop, and change direction quickly while flying requires agility training exercises. Mock battles are a perfect exercise to learn the essential skills for flight and hunting.
Mock battles aren't necessarily play. No social distancing here.
Peregrine falcons have the greatest airspeed velocity of any bird when hunting for food. During a dive, the peregrine can reach speeds of 200 miles per hour.
