My contributions for Today's Winged Wednesday are juvenile peregrine falcon in flights . These photo were taken at Tory Pines State Reserve, San Diego, California.

The ability to start, stop, and change direction quickly while flying requires agility training exercises. Mock battles are a perfect exercise to learn the essential skills for flight and hunting.

Mock battles aren't necessarily play. No social distancing here.

Peregrine falcons have the greatest airspeed velocity of any bird when hunting for food. During a dive, the peregrine can reach speeds of 200 miles per hour.

Wow wow wow. Fantastic images Eric, I don't have a thing that can compare. Maybe I will just post a mundane robin shot.

I have seen what appear to be a nesting pair of Gold Finches in the tree behind my house. I sat there for a morning camera ready and while I could see them from time to time, they were always hidden by branches. I did have this robin pose for a bit so I got it.
