Hey John, this is interesting. Lot's of great texture in those rock walls. That's not an easy shot with that much overcast sky, but it looks like you were able to retain detail in the sky too. That blue/gray coloring along parts of the rock walls looks unusual. Was it really that color, or is that a by product of highlight recovery?

I shot this image in 2012 in a raw file—so no real memory of the scene. I also noticed the “blue” rock as well and when working with the sky I reduced the added blue in those rock areas—but did leave a little of blue coloring. The SOOC raw file is “blue” in those rock areas to about the same the processed areas. Thank you for your thoughts and comments, I do appreciate it!

Much better, I was reluctant to comment on the first image, this is very nice with the reduction of the offending colors.
