These is my picture set taken off Hwy 138 on the way to the Poppy Reserve, this is what the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains look like #2 #3 Southern Goldfields aka Royal Goldfields, they are highly fragrant #4 Poppies so thick, it's hard to see any of the ground below

Nice shots Doug! I love all the purples in the pictures. Without those "this is not a trail" laminated signs on the ground at the Poppy Reserve, that place would be destroyed in a weekend. I hate zoos locations like that, mostly why I didn't go to Walker Canyon which was probably worse than...

both are beautiful, I love the lupine in the 2nd shot to break up the orange and yellows

People go on drug and alcohol benders, and I go on photographic benders. I did over 1K miles in my car in 48 hrs. After Antelope Valley on Saturday, I headed north to Oroville, then went home. Sorry I missed you at Carrizo. I have never been to Shell Creek, so looking forward to you pics...
