I just returned home from a visit with mom. I thought the leaves would be past peak but I was wrong. Everything is bathed in a yellow glow!

I'm in the process of migrating to the Hasselblad X2D II. I have only one lens at the moment, a 55/2.5. The image stablization of this camera is incredible. This shot was taken handheld with a shutter speed of 0.6s. I think I could go longer. Besides this feature, the camera is a joy to...
First, I must apologize for my absence and my wife and I are in the midst of a move. But that's another story for another time. While that's going on, we are in Barcelona followed by Provence, France and end with a couple of days in Paris. Today, we visited the Sagrada Familia. While I've...
I'm just back from a 5-day backpacking trip with my son and daughter. My camera for this trip was the diminutive Leica D-Lux 8. It turned out be a great backpacking camera.
I've been trying to capture lightning from the many storms we've had of late. Usually, the rain comes in early and then the lightning. Tonight, was different and I was able to capture lightning coming towards me.
Just back from a quick trip to Badlands National Park. Last time I was there was in 2014. I love the unique landscape features here. The weather was decent but not spectacular for photography. I did catch this sunrise with some glow in the clouds.
The wildfires in Canada are extending down to the Twin Cities. Our air quality is been very poor over the last several days. Kind of reminds me of LA in the late 60s/70s. The only benefit has been sunset
It's been quite some time since I imaged anything with my scope but last night I fired up the Celestron Origin and imaged NGC 2403. The resulting image needed to be cropped and then resized in Topaz Gigapixel. Otherwise, my normal workflow of stacking and processing in Pixinsight followed by...
Well, hidden in name only. This little waterfall is in the Big Woods State Park in Nerstrand, MN. Even though it was morning, the light was a bit harsh since the trees have not fully leafed out yet. In any case, it was a great opportunity for me to test out my new Freewell M2 magnetic filters...
Rummaging through some past photos and came to one of my favorites from a 1 on 1 workshop with William Neill. It was a wonderful 3 days with an incredible photographer and really nice guy. Great memories of this workshop which was gifted to me.
Wind gusts at 30-35 mph this afternoon and the clouds were moving fast. So, loaded a 10-stop ND and polarizer on the 32-64/4 and exposed for 2 minutes.
This is the time of year to take advantage of my view. I thought this sunset would develop into something more but this was as good as it got. Love the rays coming through the clouds. Cropped the sky up top as it did nothing for the image.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
