Well hurricane Ian came roaring through last week with a vengance. My yard was really hit hard, but only had a few roof shingles missing. My observatory only had slight damage. Here are a few photos. I don't know when I will be up and running with the telescope but I still have the solar scope...

Make sure you get the reducer for the 9.25, f/7 really helps.

Thanks Mike, yes I used the 2.5 powermate. I have a Moolite focuser on mine and use a hand controlled motor to focus. Here is a pic of my focuser. This focuser was designed for the Lepus reducer. I now have the dedicated 0.7 reducer.

The 8" edge is a good scope also. Flat field all the ways across. I use a 50mm Orion guide scope and camera but I have a good mount. At 2000mm it is pretty tough to guide. I use a 0.7 reducer when I do deep sky. For planetary imaging if you live where the jet stream is forget the planets the...

If I only had a Celestron 14 but this 9.25 does a fantastic job and it is easy to handle. Look up some shots taken with the 14" scope you will be amazed.

It finally cleared up to get a second shot of Saturn. The seeing was very good and the transparency was very good for florida standards. I used the celestron 9.25 Edge and a 2.5 Powermate, ASI224mc camera.

Nice work jim, I made it a point when I went out to a dark site I would get at least a hour of data on each subject if I could. You can also add to it next time you go out.
