You might be surprised that I too prefer the color, but still want to see a B&W of the vertical comp. The color in the clouds leading back to the spire makes the color version, but doesn't show up in the B&W.
I honestly don't get the fascination with color IR. I can't think of any that have been posted here that make me want to try it. I'd like to see what this looks like in B&W.
Nice work. I like how the clouds point into the Mittens. You have a couple of big but faint dust circles across the top, and one very faint half in the clouds. You could get rid of the top ones with a crop that might help the composition also.
Back up the winter wonderland of the Mountain Loop Hwy for a great morning of X-skiing with my wife. I made my way over to the river to look back at Long Pk. I was really wishing I'd hauled my Sony along but made do with the iPhone 13 Pro for this.
Wow!! This is superb. Clouds, lines in the sand, and perfect snow (not too much) with a curving dune dusting all leading to the tower. One of the most unique and interesting shots I've seen from this area. Would also make a good B&W.
Where did you end up camping?
I agree with Alan on the Pinto Arch rock textures, but the sky and B&W treatment of Corona is great. I haven't made it to these and should put on the to do list.
I snapped this just after we were turned around yesterday (Christmas Day) by a big tree across the road two miles from where we were going to X-ski. As you can see the snow was beautiful. Disappointed to miss out on skiing, but thankful the tree missed us. As we came around the corner and saw it...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
