Thanks Alan. I didn't notice the effect until I processed it. Thanks Jim. I agree - they need to be open 24 hours like other National Parks. They do offer late (or early) access for those willing to pay additional hourly fees. I should do that sometime - I think it would be great on a new moon...

Thanks Guys! I used the old "point the flashlight at the ground" method of lighting. Using the dirt underfoot as a reflector. It works well when the subject is this close.

What we have here is proof that Oscar Wilde was wrong, and Michelangelo visited Utah hundreds of years before the camera was invented. Or not. :rolleyes:😁

I prefer the second image, the tighter crop cuts out those distracting poles in the lower left. I want to run right up to those flowers and use them with a wide-angle lens to anchor that mountain scene behind them!
