Some really intense colors goin' on here. The side opposite the sun gets a cool "black triangle" shadow because of the mountain's pointy shape!

Thanks Alan. The leaves go white in IR and look great if you can place dark canyon walls behind them. Every time I have tried to take the dirt road that goes beneath the western edge with shear cliffs, I have been turned back by sticky wet clay!

This tree usually blends into the background as you look across the canyon, but it really pops when backlit.

I visit this little guy every time I pass through Zion National park. He photographs well in visible color and Infrared. Probably the world's most photographed pinion pine tree.
