Sometimes you search far and wide for wildlife and then carefully work to get close enough for a good shot. Sometimes a bull elk walks right passed your parked car and poses for you... This was one of those right by Mammoth in Yellowstone.
It's been quite a while since the last time I shared anything here. Finally getting back into shooting and had the opportunity to take a friend out to Valley of Fire last week. Got lucky enough to get several shots of this guy...
I found a doe with her fawn and they allowed me some time. The fawn has lost most of its spots.

I made my trip to New Zealand and Australia in early March, but I had so many pictures I ran out of steam processing them. I finally got to these shots I took at the Tilligerry Habitat where we were looking for wild Koalas. We didn't find any Koalas, but we did find swarms of these soldier crabs...

It's that time of year, and for us here at FocalWorld, this will be our first Best of Threads. Having seen the incredible photos posted by everyone this year, I know we will get so many stunning photos!

Although mom had already moved on, her cub stopped for a few seconds giving me a chance to grab some shots while hiding behind my car.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
